Catch 22 Really Reeled Me In!!! – A Personal Review
May 5, 2011 · 10:58 pm
Wednesday evening I was looking to enjoy a unique dining experience in the Moncton Area with an out of town guest. My search brought me to the door of Catch 22 Lobster Bar on Main Street. The interior has some unique decor and design ideas. There is a bar when you first enter the establishment and then a main dining area over to the left hand side. The space was inviting and spacious at the same time. There is also a dining area in the back of the restaurant where it is a bit more intimate and private should one wish to host a considerable group.
Beyond the ambiance, the food was a tasty experience to say the least. My group started with the calamari and spicy Thai dipping sauce and the lobster stuffed mushroom caps. These two dishes were worth the visit alone. As a group, we were far from exciting with our collective order. All three of us had the Shellfish Platter. It consisted of a full lobster, steamed clams and mussels as well as sweet potato fries and a tasty mixed vegetable side. This tasty entrée was under $35. It was a tantalizing dish to enjoy and it did not break the bank. The staff was friendly and cordial with great service to boot. My out-of-town guest was impressed with this terrific addition to the downtown Moncton restaurant landscape. In a period where Moncton desperately needs to inject some life back into the downtown, post business hours, the Catch 22 Lobster Bar is a step in the right direction. Get out and support a terrific local restaurant.
